FAQs for our Installation Estimator
How does the online installation estimator work?
Our online estimator provides an instant estimate based on the measurements, roof style, colours and other information you enter.
The estimate is designed to give you an indication of the likely cost of your project. Once your enquiry is submitted, one of our experienced team members will review your project and contact you to discuss the details and organise a onsite meeting before preparing a final written
quotation.
Is my online estimate a fixed quote?
No.
The online estimator provides an estimate only.
Your final quotation is prepared after we have reviewed your measurements, site requirements, engineering requirements, council approval requirements and installation details.
If any changes are required, we'll explain them and provide a revised quotation for your approval before any work proceeds.
Is there any obligation when I request a quote?
No.
Our online estimator is completely free and there is no obligation to proceed.
When is my quotation accepted?
Once you've received your emailed estimate, simply let us know you'd like to proceed.
If you choose to go ahead, we'll prepare a detailed written quotation outlining the scope of works, inclusions and pricing and organise a site visit to confirm the measurements, discuss any further requirements for your installation and finalise the pricing to include council approvals etc.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card, PayPal, or payment on invoice.
If you choose payment on invoice, your order will be processed once payment has been received and your order has been verified.
How long does the process take?
The timeframe for each project depends on several factors, including council or building approvals, engineering requirements, and whether any additional searches or information are requested by the certifier or council.
As a general guide, the entire process from acceptance of your quotation through to installation can be completed in as little as 6 weeks, with most projects taking approximately 10 weeks from start to finish.
Every project is different, and timeframes can vary depending on approval requirements, material availability, site conditions and other factors outside our control.
Our friendly team will keep you updated throughout the process, so you'll know how your project is progressing and what the next steps are.
How are the materials delivered?
All materials are delivered by crane truck and are delivered to the kerb unless a delivery waiver has been signed by the customer.
If your property has restricted access, please let us know before delivery so suitable arrangements can be made.
Where possible, materials will be supplied in full lengths. However, some components, including beams and flashings, may be supplied in sections and require splicing to facilitate transport. This does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the finished product.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Not always.
However, you should provide any special delivery instructions before dispatch and ensure there is suitable access for the delivery vehicle.
Can I change my order once it's placed?
Orders can generally be amended during the verification process.
Once your order has been confirmed and released for manufacture, changes may no longer be possible because your materials are custom manufactured specifically for your order.
What roof style is best?
The best roof style depends on your home and how you intend to use the space.
- Skillion Roofs – Modern, economical and suitable for most homes.
- Flyover Roofs – Increase ceiling height while allowing more airflow and natural light.
- Gable Roofs – Create a spacious open feel and complement many existing homes.
- Freestanding Roofs – Perfect where attaching to an existing building isn't practical.
Can lights and ceiling fans be installed?
Yes.
Lights and ceiling fans can be installed into insulated roof panels and these can be added to your quotation.
Do you organise council approvals?
Yes.
Where required, we can arrange engineering, certification, plans and council approvals on your behalf.
Our team works with experienced certifiers who prepare and lodge the necessary documentation to help make the approval process as straightforward as possible.
Do I need council approval?
Many projects require council or private certification approval.
Requirements vary depending on your property, local council and the type of structure being installed.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes.
Our installed patios and carports are manufactured using premium products backed by applicable manufacturer's warranties, including warranties of up to 15 years on selected products.
Warranty periods vary depending on the product selected.
